Pet Parade

We're thrilled you want to want to come hang out with the other furry friends and make some people smile. It is going to be a great time! Please, read through the rules below before applying to make sure this is a good fit for you and your pet(s).

Parade Date:  Saturday, March 17, 2018

Parade Theme: Mardi Gras

Check in Location & Registration: Next to Chamber of Commerce

Registration & Line Up: 11 am

Parade Start Time: Noon

Parade Route: Main Street Downtown Mansfield

Duration: Between 15-30 minutes, depending on the number of entries

Parade Entry Fee:  $10 per pet with no more than three per entry when you register online

Deadline to Register Online: Friday, March 2, 2018 – NO EXCEPTIONS – if you miss the online registration, you may register the day of the parade. Registration is first come first served with only 50 spots available.

If you register onsite the day of the parade the registration fee will be $20 per pet.

Awards Presented and Pictures Taken: Immediately after the parade

Awards will be given for:

  • Best in Show Mardi Gras Theme
  • Best Dressed Pickled Pet
  • Best Dressed Unique Pet
  • Best Dressed Irish Pet
  • Best Dressed Duo or Group

Pet Parade Regulations:

  • All pets MUST be on leash or crated.
  • No animals in "heat"
  • ONLY Positive Reinforcement Control is allowed.

Humans: If you cannot control your pet without getting frustrated, yelling, screaming, or using physical force, please do not register to be a part of the Pet Parade. Any misconduct, abuse, or neglect will be reported to the Mansfield Police, which will be onsite.  In addition, you will have to deal with some VERY upset Pickle Queens.

All types of pets (domesticated) are welcome: 

  • ‍All marchers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
  • ‍No political or commercial promotions
  • ‍No demonstrations
  • ‍No solicitations and no sale of any product is allowed.
  • ‍Foot power only (exceptions may be arranged for special needs).
  • ‍Wagons and strollers are allowed at one per parade entry because of space.
  • ‍Groups and families are encouraged to identify themselves with a banner or sign.
  • ‍Pet owners must pick up their pet’s “refuse” before, during, and after the parade. Bring the necessary disposable bags and use them. The police ask that this is enforced.
  • ‍Law enforcement will be onsite and available to enforce all laws.
